CORE OF IO – “FROWN UPSIDE DOWN”

The drums kick start the new single from Brighton based Core Of iO, followed by a riff that shows the technical wizardry of the guitars as it’s vocals switch between metal growls and that of a more melodic nature.

Core of iO’s previous single “It’s all yours” had a slight James Hetfield feel about it – whereas this time around the vocals work alongside the twists and turns of the track, whilst continuing to have the same direction as the song that had come before it making for another well rounded tune.

As it stands you have to piece together your own experience of Core of iO with the handful of demos available, but with the EP finally in the pipeline and a release date at the end of March it’s more than likely there will be a couple more quality tracks on offer to back up “Frown Upside Down” and “It’s all Yours” making Core of iO one of those bands that are likely to go from strength to strength.
