LOOTEN DUKE – “(THERE’S NO WAY I COULD) LOSE MY MIND”

I first came across Looten Duke at the Wedgewood Rooms showcase competition last year, where they had already started to make a name for themselves locally having been playing around the Portsmouth area for a couple of years previously .

One year on and their upcoming debut EP is proceeded with the release of “(There’s no Way I Could) Lose my Mind” – a track where going on their live performances is the perfect introduction to the South Coast band.  Whereas other Looten Duke favourites such as “Heaven Help me” focus more on their grunge influences, it’s tunes like this one where the perfect blend of funk and blues are thrown in for good measure.

The gravelly vocals on “(There’s no Way I Could) Lose my Mind” are backed with that of a 70’s groove and some funky drum beats, whilst the additional touches on the production make for a single that successfully brings that of Looten Dukes live performance into the studio.

Whilst a release date for the EP is yet to be announced, check out the single online at the links below and be sure to keep an ear out for the Looten Duke live experience as if you like what you hear I’m sure you won’t be disappointed.
